Who cares about Ava? Graphic Novel

The 4 children of the Kratz family are all special in their own way:
Arnd makes robots, Ida is the artist of the family, Lenn is a math genius, and Ava... what can she do again?
In this semi-autobiographical story, I'm looking at children's self-esteem and and how they assign themselves a role in their own family context. Peppered with amusing anecdotes I tell the story of Ava Kratz, who grows up in the shadow of her highly gifted twin brother Lenn.
Ava's two older siblings are already in high school, and it is clear that her twin brother Lenn will be admitted without having to take exams. But it seems out of the question that one has to graduate high school, after all, Ava would be the first Kratz without one. The increasing pressure from the strict grandparents and teacher, the distractions caused by growing up
with 3 siblings and her own fear of failure make it difficult for Ava to prepare adequately for the entrance exam.
Narratively, an arc is drawn around the story through jumps between past and present, in which the now grown-up big sister Ida tells a friend about her childhood. At the end, the Kratz family meets again in the present: Ava has mastered her way even without a high school diploma. But are the grandparents also ready to rethink their image of Ava?

These are the first 12 pages of a Graphic Novel I'm currently working on. Are you interested in publishing it? I look forward to hearing from you. post@leonie-roesler.ch
